Kennel Attendant

Responsibilities

• Provide physical care and attention to cats and dogs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Carry and handle animals and supplies, sometimes lifting 50+ pounds.
• Administer medications accurately under the direction of a veterinarian.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the veterinary clinic, including kennels and common areas.
• Communicate promptly and effectively with the veterinarian and management via personal cell phone, responding to texts and calls in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with teammates, demonstrating friendliness and professionalism.
• Work two to three weekends per month on split shifts as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying 50+ pounds.
• Mental awareness and attention to detail for filling medications under veterinarian guidance.
• Friendly and compassionate attitude toward pets and team members.
• Dependable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work weekends and split shifts as scheduled.
• Comfortable using personal cell phone for work-related communication and responding promptly.
• Able to perform physical cleaning and sanitation tasks within the clinic.
