Kellogg Center Stock Handler

Location: Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center

Starting pay: $16.00 per hour

About the role

Supports initiatives related to receiving, storing, and stocking food and beverage supplies for the Kellogg Hotel’s restaurant and events department.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and stock food, beverages, and supplies
• Organize and rotate inventory in walk-in freezers and dry storage
• Safely lift, move, push, and pull heavy items
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and stocked
• Report inventory shortages, damages, or issues to management
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during the academic year)
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and twist with 50–75 lbs throughout your shift
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
• Be able to work early mornings and/or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous stocker, warehouse, or restaurant experience
• Previous stock handling experience
• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Experience working around equipment in motion (forklifts and electric pallet jacks)

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required

Schedule

• Shifts are Monday – Saturday, 5:00 AM – 8:30 AM
