About the Initiative
The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin is launching its first "Month of Giving" by introducing the COVID-19 Impact Catalog to support local nonprofit organizations. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on the community, nonprofits have been forced to get creative with their programs and fundraising efforts. With lost revenue, canceled events, and affected annual appeals, the Foundation is intervening to raise awareness, highlight local nonprofits, and provide a donation platform for their needs.
COVID-19 Impact Catalog
The COVID-19 Impact Catalog is an online crowdsourcing platform featuring 19 charitable goals representing various program needs. Donors can browse the list of organizations and donate to causes that matter most to them or contribute to the Community COVID-19 Response Fund, a partnership between the Community Foundation and United Way of Marathon County addressing broader community needs during the pandemic.
The catalog will launch on October 1 and remain open through October 31. Categories included in the catalog are:
- Basic needs: food and shelter
