Kaplan Early Learning Company is seeking a K-Truck Installation Specialist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Analyze order details and customer delivery requirements to assign appropriate labor and resources.
- Assess needs and assign dates, resource allocation, and ensure key benchmarks are met prior to an order's release to the warehouse.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure deliveries are successful and profitable.
- Evaluate options to convert non-delivery specified orders over to assisted delivery orders when applicable.
- Maintain and analyze all costs associated with deliveries and provide quarterly reports.
- Order Analysis: Review and analyze all orders coded as K-Truck (KDEL) and orders over $25,000 that have multiple furniture items. Determine which items require assembly and calculate time associated with assembly. Coordinate with the assembly team to ensure completed in time for delivery. Review orders as needed for appropriate labeling (clarity in mark for/assembly required). Assign time frame for delivery completion based on order details and customer expectations. Investigate and assess logistics associated with each delivery such as parking lot access and dumpster availability. Review post-delivery completion sign off forms and ensure information is available for future reference.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with traffic and order processing departments to schedule deliveries and drivers. Coordinate all delivery needs, including identifying hotel reservations, flights, car rentals, equipment rentals, and researching temporary labor options and submitting requests for labor for day(s) of delivery. Ensure delivery paperwork and details, such as dropship status, backorder detail, inventory documents are available and understood by delivery personnel. Facilitate and direct communication with sales representative, customer service, traffic, and if needed, customer. Validate delivery specifications with sales representative, communicate release/ship dates for orders; follow up with primary point of contact to ensure delivery is on schedule or work through rescheduling needs as well as contacts at temporary labor companies. Facilitate is the key point of contact for installation technicians related to urgent needs of missing/damaged items or parts. Facilitate will communicate and work with customer service as needed to update system information or relay order management needs.
- Communication: Facilitate and direct communication with sales representative, customer service, traffic, and if needed, customer. Strong customer service and communication with strong ability to alter communication style based on audience. Validate delivery specifications with sales representative, communicate release/ship dates for orders; follow up with primary point of contact to ensure delivery is on schedule or work through rescheduling needs as well as contacts at temporary labor companies. Facilitate will communicate and work with customer service as needed to update system information or relay order management needs.
- Reporting: Create and maintain a database of expenses associated with deliveries. Monitor and compile report documents that include freight, travel, labor, equipment, and miscellaneous expenses as well as cost of goods sold. Validate labor or associated delivery invoices against work tickets and send to accounts payable for payment processing. Compile data into quarterly reports for management. Reports should demonstrate margin analysis and profitability per order as well as summarize average delivery cost per order.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required with 4-5 years customer service experience required.
- Demonstrated ability in complex problem resolution, professional interpersonal skills, as well as excellent follow-up and oral/written communication skills is required.
- PC literate with proficiency in Excel/Word; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
- Must be team focused and flexible to business demands with proven ability to work independently.
