K-12 Spanish Special Education Paraeducator/Tutor

About the Role

As a Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will help students with daily activities, offer moral support, and deliver tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Multiple positions are available across all areas in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to K-12 students in their homes.
• Support learners in Math, ELA, and Reading, adapting strategies to individual learning styles.
• Work with students from General Education and Special Education programs.
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating updates to program directors.
• Use culturally responsive practices and build positive, supportive relationships with students and families.

Requirements

• Spanish fluency (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (required).
• Background or experience in Special Education (credential preferred).
• Experience tutoring or teaching K-12 students.
• Strong generalist knowledge across core academic subjects.
• Experience working with students with special needs and accommodations (highly preferred).
• Must be enrolled in College or have completed an AA, BA, or higher.
• Ability to make learning fun, interactive, and student-focused.
• Ability to pass an in-person background check (if required).

Pay

Competitive pay based on specialization ($25–$35/hour).

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with multiple student assignment opportunities. Positions are expected to begin within the next few weeks or by early 2026.
