K-12 Music Teacher

About the role

The Sidney Central School District seeks an experienced K-12 Music Teacher with a specialization in instrumental music. The ideal candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain New York State Music certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach instrumental music to students in grades K-12
• Develop and implement music curriculum aligned with district standards

Requirements

• NYS Music certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
• Strong background in instrumental music education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Experience teaching instrumental music at the K-12 level
• Pass a criminal background check

Pay

The starting salary range is $51,978 to $63,681, depending on experience. Hourly stipends for teacher induction are included in the salary range.
