Responsibilities

- Mentor and instruct players in skill development, character building, and teamwork.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about games, practices, and team commitments.
- Support and develop student athletes aiming to compete at the high school and varsity levels.
- Attend all BB&N practices, games, and other related athletics functions.
- Model positive behavior, maintain a supportive environment, and exhibit professionalism.
- Collaborate with other coaches, parents, and community members.
- Seek assistance for emergencies.
Requirements, Skills, And Competencies
- A bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire athletes.
- A passion for soccer and working with Middle and Upper school-aged students.
- A commitment to inclusivity and equity in sports.
- Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- The ability to adjust coaching methods based on individual athlete needs.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Practice planning and match oversight, including teaching skill techniques and preparing athletes for competitive events.
- Mentoring and instructing players in skill development, character development, and teamwork.
- Communicating with parents/guardians about games, practices, and other team commitments.
- Supporting and developing student athletes aiming to compete at the high school and varsity levels.
- Attending all BB&N practices, at-home and away games, in-school events, and other related athletics functions.
- Modeling positive behavior, maintaining a supportive environment, and exhibiting a high level of professionalism.
- Collaborating with other coaches, parents, and community members.
- Serving as a resource for emergency situations.
Pay
A season-long stipend of $3,500 - $5,000.
Schedule
- Fall Coaches Meeting: Monday, August 31, 2026.
- Season Duration: September 2, 2026, through November 22, 2026.
- Weekly Practices: 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
- Games: Usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Holidays: Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Indigenous Peoples Day, and Professional Day.
