About the role
This position involves coaching and mentoring JV (9-12th grade) Boys Basketball. Duties include organizing and planning team practices, coaching games, teaching fundamental skills, and discipling in Christian character building.
Responsibilities
- Organize and plan team practices
- Coach games
- Teach the fundamentals of playing volleyball: skills, drills and strategies
- Disciple in Christian character building
- Available all season beginning with tryouts mid-October and ends with playoffs in February
- Available for all practices generally from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Requirements
An applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They must agree with and affirm the Bob Jones University creed, mission, and core biblical doctrines. Employees are expected to maintain a conservative lifestyle and support the group's positions on various issues.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching basketball
- Ability to communicate schedules, practices, and games with parents and players
- Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals
- Strong Christian character and values
