JV Assistant Football Coach - Albemarle HS

About the role

The JV Assistant Football Coach at Albemarle High School is seeking a candidate with preferred previous football coaching experience, specifically as a defensive coordinator. Experience working with young adults in a coaching/mentoring role is also required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and train AA student-athletes
• Organize and prepare practice schedules
• Develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship
• Work flexible hours, including after school and weekends
• Communicate effectively with high school student-athletes, parents, and the community

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Personal skills reflecting positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents, and the community
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports
• Ability to hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license
