Juvenile Resource Staff

About the role

Walden Street School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma-informed care. We provide 24-hour comprehensive care including an on-site school, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

The Juvenile Resource Staff will be trained in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to effectively support youth in crisis, including following protocols for physical holds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment by conducting regular walk-throughs, engaging consistently with the youth, and monitoring the physical surroundings.
• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to ensure the safest therapeutic environment for the youth.
• Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing and role-modeling effective coping strategies.
• Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills.
• Support students in developing a sense of self and provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.
• Transport students as required (must maintain a valid driver’s license).

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Experience in security work or a related field preferred.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. Due to the nature of our work, overtime may be mandated.
