Duties
- Cleans rooms every 15 minutes and observes residents in isolation.
- Wakes residents and supervises during showering and other activities.
- Oversees residents performing housekeeping or other tasks.
- Aids in serving meals and ensuring residents comply with facility policies.
- Enforces behavior management system under supervision.
- Issues warnings and disciplinary measures as necessary.
- Completes intake procedures for new residents, including form completion, searches, orientation, and issuing clothing and linen.
- Maintains security of the facility by operating the control room, monitoring CCTV, and responding to calls.
- Prepares observation reports and logs incidents, medications, and phone calls.
- Checks logs daily to address issues from other shifts and informs supervisors of problems.
- Patrols housing areas on schedule and as needed.
- Takes toxicology specimens as requested or authorized.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Passes required background check and drug/alcohol screening.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime.
Supplemental Information
This position requires working a 12-hour shift, day or night, with potential for overtime. The position may require driving in adverse weather conditions, lifting up to 25 pounds, and exposure to violent youths, youths under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, blood or other bodily fluids, and contagious or communicable diseases.
