As an Access Control Officer at a government juvenile services location, you will manage entry points, screen visitors and property, monitor activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and youth-related program personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and permitted property in accordance with post orders and applicable government facility requirements.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
