Junior Werkvoorbereider

About the role

As a Junior Werkvoorbereider at our factory in Alphen aan den Rijn, you will support the preparation and planning of our precast concrete production. You will assist in creating and reviewing production drawings, compiling production dossiers, and preparing daily production tasks. Additionally, you will help order materials, monitor inventory, and coordinate activities with colleagues from production, assembly, transport, and suppliers. Your role ensures that the right information is available on time, enabling smooth project execution.

Under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you will learn more about technical preparations, quality controls, and project administration. You will identify bottlenecks, contribute to practical solutions, and have the opportunity to develop your skills in work preparation and planning. Your precision, eagerness to learn, and organizational talent will contribute significantly to efficient and successful precast concrete production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production dossiers, parts lists, and other production information.
• Support production, mold makers, and casting field with the correct technical data.
• Check production drawings, dimensions, reinforcement, and built-in facilities.
• Assist in creating and monitoring the production schedule.
• Coordinate with production, assembly, transport, and suppliers about production progress.
• Identify bottlenecks and contribute to practical solutions.
• Manage multiple ongoing projects and monitor progress.
• Order materials and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain contact with suppliers regarding delivery times and availability.
• Anticipate shortages and support transport and loading planning for precast elements.
• Serve as a central point of contact between engineering, production, assembly, transport, and project management.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors on planning, changes, and technical questions.
• Discuss production tolerances, dimensions, and execution details.
• Check drawings and product data for accuracy and quality.
• Register and process changes and project data.
• Support technical questions from production.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within work preparation, planning, and production.
• Contribute to more efficient working methods and process standardization.

Requirements

• Completed vocational (mbo) or higher (hbo) education in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience as a work preparer is a plus, but starters are also welcome.
• Strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various colleagues and parties.
• Affinity with technology, construction, or precast concrete is preferred.
