Junior Web Developer

About the role

Healthcare Success (HS), a digital-first, fully integrated marketing agency, is looking for a talented web developer to join our team. Only US applicants will be considered.

We're seeking someone with:

• 2-5+ years developing and managing multiple client websites, landing pages, and/or web applications, preferably for campaigns in a digital agency (especially paid search, paid social, or SEO).
• Motivation and eagerness to learn new development technologies tailored to marketing.
• Basic SEO principles and best practices, or willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, digital performance-driven culture, managing 5-10 client projects of varying complexity and budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining client websites and plugins/modules for CMS environments such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Work closely with SEO and Technical Product teams to develop technical specifications for web projects (sites and landing pages).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across the stack (HTML, CSS/SCSS, VanillaJS, jQuery, ReactJS, PHP, or Node.js).
• Collaborate with Senior Developers, Design, Project Management, and Account Management teams to turn designs into functional web pages.
• Use Git version control and basic deployment workflows.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot CMS and full-stack development issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent time in development roles.
• 2-5 years of experience in development or other relevant experience.
• CMS development knowledge for WordPress or similar systems.
• Experience with page builders such as Webflow, Elementor, Divi, or Oxygen.
• Solid communication skills and a strong work ethic with a sense of urgency.

Skills

• PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• ReactJS, NextJS, Angular, or similar modern frontend frameworks (a plus)
• WP Engine hosting, general web hosting, DNS
• Ability to translate Adobe XD/Figma designs into HTML, CSS, and JS
• Basic understanding of SEO principles, responsive web design, pixel placement, Google Tag Manager, GA4, GSC, Google Ads, Facebook, Freshpaint, Git
• HIPAA compliance knowledge (a plus)
