Junior Weapon Systems Manager

About the role

The Junior Weapon Systems Manager (WSM) position supports the CECOM Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). This role includes Program Analyst responsibilities, alongside management of a small FMS Weapon Systems Manager caseload. The ideal candidate will contribute to global security assistance and warfighter support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day program and logistics support to SAMD Weapon Systems Managers
• Manage assigned FMS cases from “cradle to grave”
• Support planning, execution, and sustainment activities
• Conduct technical reviews and analysis for Letters of Request (LOR)
• Develop and maintain unique case notes, documentation, and planning artifacts
• Coordinate Total Package Approach (TPA) planning
• Support logistics program activities including purchases, transfers, and leases
• Vet requested equipment release in accordance with security and transfer requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams, external agencies, subcontractors, and field service personnel to resolve logistics issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 0-5+ years of professional experience in related field
• Experience working in different types of database systems
• Prior DOD experience preferred
• Experienced with Microsoft Office software suite, in particular Excel
