Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure optimal computer and network system performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to prevent or resolve system failures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure secure and efficient operation of all systems and data.
- Implement and test network security measures, such as firewalls and encryption, to safeguard systems and information from unauthorized access or cyber threats.
- Carry out regular backup operations and establish appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Document system configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain an accurate record of the technology environment and support compliance with IT policies.
- Aid in developing and deploying specialized scripts or tools to automate routine tasks and enhance system efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance and support to employees, including troubleshooting and training on new software applications.
Qualifications
- Experience or training in IT, computer science, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking protocols, and security standards.
- Proficiency in Office365 applications and cloud services is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and professionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in IT
- Current or ability to obtain Security + (or equivalent) and Government Security Clearance.
