Junior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Software Engineer - Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will contribute to cutting-edge development programs, design new solutions, and support global missions through intelligence, analytics, and cyber solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Innovate RF signal processing applications.
• Develop analytics, visualization, and discovery tools.
• Integrate new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with RF signal processing applications.
• Proficiency working in Linux development environments.
• Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.

Skills

• Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming (desired).
• Experience with geospatial processing (desired).
• Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays (desired).
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools (desired).
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools (desired).

Pay

$89,500 - $111,500 (based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations).
