Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Belay Technologies is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their intel team. This role will be part of a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs. Project management is done using feature-driven development. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to contribute to system design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications
• Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap
• Resolve challenging software engineering design problems
• Interact with the customer to resolve issues and propose new features
• Support testing and deployment of production applications

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
• Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with Java
• Experience with RESTful web applications
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology
• Experience with Automated testing

Skills

• Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js)
• Experience with Kafka
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Linux administration
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000
