About the role

The Junior Software Developer / Healthcare Application Support Specialist contributes to the ongoing development, testing, configuration, and support of a behavioral‑health clinical and administrative software platform. The platform is a modern React/TypeScript web application built with Vite and backed by a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS. Reporting to the Senior Full‑Stack Healthcare Software Engineer, the role provides hands‑on experience with front‑end development, database reporting, API integration, and cloud service monitoring while serving as the first technical point of contact for application users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React front‑end components using TypeScript and Vite.
• Write, tune, and maintain SQL queries and operational reports against the AWS‑hosted PostgreSQL database.
• Assist with REST API integration and related testing.
• Monitor and help maintain the application’s AWS services.
• Provide first‑line technical support to application users, addressing issues and gathering workflow insights.
• Participate in testing, configuration, and ongoing support of the software platform.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Full‑Stack Healthcare Software Engineer to ensure code quality and alignment with clinical, utilization‑review, revenue‑cycle, and administrative workflows.

Qualifications

• Early‑career developer with hands‑on experience building front‑end applications using React and Vite.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development practices.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL and ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Basic understanding of AWS services, particularly those related to database hosting and application monitoring.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to serve as a technical point of contact for end users.
• Interest in growing toward full‑stack healthcare software engineering or cloud engineering roles.
