About the role
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Scrum Master to join their Minotaur software development team. This is a hybrid role based in Columbia, MD.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure the team stays on track and works together effectively.
- Improving Processes: Help the team identify and remove obstacles, continuously improving workflows and overall performance.
- Promoting an Agile Mindset: Coach and mentor the team on agile principles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Built Strong Relationships: Collaborate with stakeholders to align everyone with project goals, while providing guidance and support to team members.
- Monitoring Progress: Help track and report on team performance, ensuring transparency and open communication.
Requirements
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest to obtain a relevant Scrum certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
- Familiarity with Jira.
- A strong understanding of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and empowerment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
- 1 year of Scrum Master experience.
- Knowledge of various Scrum techniques (e.g., burndown charts, retrospective formats, bug handling).
- Achieved relevant Scrum certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
- An active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $64,087.00 - $97,000.00.
