About the role

Matchbook is seeking a Junior Rates Sales Representative and Market Administrator to develop liquidity in our new Rates matching runs. The role involves building client relationships, administering Rates runs using our proprietary matching platform, and assisting with post-trade and settlement information.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client relationships for our Rates business.
  • Work with Senior Sales and Product Managers to onboard clients for Matchbook.
  • Entertain existing and new business relationships in conjunction with Brokers.
  • Review system and client static data to ensure integrity of trade results.
  • Ensure post-trade and other queries from traders and middle office staff are dealt with quickly and efficiently via email and telephone.
  • Liaise with colleagues in other regions to ensure systems are kept up to date.
  • Monitor markets and train customers on the SEF platform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additionally, the role includes:

  • Adhering to internal policies and operational risk requirements (e.g., cultural behaviors, security policies, and regulatory requirements).
  • Completing mandatory training by required deadlines.
  • Acting with integrity, due skill, care, and diligence in all duties.
  • Reporting breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor.
  • Escalating risk events immediately and logging them within 24 hours.
  • Providing input to risk management processes as required.

Requirements

  • Exposure to Rates markets.

  • Exposure to electronic trading platforms.
  • Financial services or capital markets experience.
  • Experience working across multiple regions and business functions.

Pay

$70,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
