About the role
Parsons is seeking a Junior Safety Specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Assists the SH&E Manager with administering the SH&E programs.
- Sets up and supports the SH&E Manager with audits of the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.
- Performs inspections to assess hazards; provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards.
- Creates and submits written inspection reports.
- Makes sure project or program work planning and performance conform to Parsons' Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.
- Implements Parsons' occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
- Creates and maintains SH&E training records.
- Participates in routine safe work briefings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft and Excel.
- 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety.
Desired Skills
- An ASP or GSP40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER.
- Construction Experience.
- Familiar with ProCore.
