Junior Quality Analyst
Job Summary
The position is part of the Food Ingredient business unit of IFF, which is expected to transition to CVC Capital Partners in the first half of 2027. IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences, delivering sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products.
About the Role
Perform chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to support product quality and lot release. Execute laboratory analyses, document and report results in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), support investigations, contribute to root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory analyses (e.g., viscosity, sieve analysis, moisture content, titration) using approved methods and standard operating procedures
- Document and report results in LIMS in compliance with GDP
- Support investigations related to Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT), and non-conformance events
- Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Quality teams to resolve issues and support production timelines
- Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen food safety and quality systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field
- 1–2 years of laboratory experience in food environments
- Knowledge of chemical testing techniques and laboratory instrumentation
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and data integrity principles
- Experience documenting laboratory results and supporting investigations
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Able to manage priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
