  • Develop and continuously improve a preventative maintenance program across an assigned portfolio of stores nationwide.
  • Create scalable procedures for routine repair requests, preventative maintenance, vendor engagement, and urgent facility issues.
  • Train store leaders on maintenance processes, vendor management, and escalation expectations.
  • Respond to emergency facility issues, coordinating timely resolution to minimize disruption.
  • Track recurring maintenance trends and implement proactive solutions to reduce long-term repair costs.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage local, regional, and national service vendors.
  • Manage construction and maintenance budgets, purchase commitments, invoices, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor vendor performance, service levels, response times, quality, and cost, strengthening the vendor network as the store fleet grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail construction, facilities management, or project management.
  • Owner-side experience strongly preferred, with the ability to represent the client's perspective while balancing budget, schedule, quality, and brand standards.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple retail construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction, building systems, preventative maintenance, contracts, budgeting, and project financial management.
  • Experience developing multi-location vendor networks and managing service providers across multiple markets.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly in support of construction projects and retail locations.
  • Solutions-driven, highly organized, collaborative, and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and comfort building scalable processes in a fast-moving retail environment.
