Junior .NET Developer

PeopleTec is seeking a Junior .NET Developer to support development and sustainment of Rubix and other application software capabilities in Huntsville, AL (hybrid/remote).

About the role

The candidate will work within a collaborative software-development team to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain application functionality using Microsoft .NET technologies, relational databases, and web-development technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software functionality using C#, .NET, and related technologies.
• Assist with development and sustainment of Rubix application capabilities.
• Develop and modify SQL queries and data-access functionality.
• Support web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Translate defined business and technical requirements into application functionality.
• Debug software and resolve application defects.
• Develop and execute software tests to validate functionality.
• Use Git-based source control and participate in peer reviews.
• Document software changes, technical issues, and test results.
• Support integration, deployment, sustainment, and Agile development activities.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience, education, project experience, or professional experience in software/application development.
• Working knowledge of C#, .NET, Visual Basic .NET, Java, or comparable object-oriented languages.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software debugging, and testing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio or comparable IDE and Git/source control.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems and learn new technologies.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Travel: less than 10%.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or related technical discipline. Relevant development education and demonstrated software-development projects may be considered for junior-level experience.
• Bachelor degree desired but not required.

• Python or DevExpress familiarity.
• Army/DoD experience.
• Existing DoD SECRET clearance.
