About the role

As a junior mason, you will be part of one of our five site teams and contribute to the high-quality realization of our construction projects through your knowledge and experience. In consultation with your team leader and colleagues on-site, you will handle simple preparatory work and perform masonry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with groundwork and demolition.
• Prepare workstations with materials, mortar, and bricks.
• Perform masonry work and assist in placing prefabricated elements.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment, adhering to general site organization, logical workflow, and efficient, safe handling of materials, tools, and machinery.
• Execute tasks according to the established schedule and timing.

Job-related competencies

• Assist in setting up the construction site.
• Perform masonry in various bonding patterns.
• Place prefabricated elements.
• Install sewer systems and drainage.
• Perform insulation and sealing work.
• Execute concreting, formwork, and reinforcement tasks.
• Carry out demolition, renovation, and pointing work.

Requirements

• Completed training in construction or experience as a laborer in the construction sector.
• Proficiency in Dutch and possession of a B driver’s license.
• Manual dexterity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Enjoy working in a team, eager to learn, and grow within the company.

Bouwonderneming De Roo is a family-run construction company where a team of around 20 colleagues guides clients through their building projects, from structural work to complete finishing. As a junior mason, you will be part of one of our five site teams, contributing to high-quality buildings with the goal of customer satisfaction.
