Screen cargo in compliance with TSA rules and regulations. Complete a 4–8-week minimum team training course and certification prior to mobilization to the assigned location.
Pay
- Field pay: $24–$26 per hour
- Virtual rate: $20 per hour
- Moyock rate: $15 per hour
Responsibilities
- Participate in CCSP-related training to search cargo and identify potential threats
- Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed
- Perform Junior Handler duties while commanding a trained working dog
- Maintain training records, care, and maintenance of assigned certified canine
- House the assigned canine inside your climate-controlled residence; the living area is subject to recurring inspections
- Maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances
- Operate company vehicle during on-site training
- Work in varied environments—busy training facilities, fieldwork, outdoors in inclement weather (heat, cold, humidity)
- May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules dictated by customer needs
- Travel as required
- Lift and carry items up to 100 lbs
- Stand for long periods; intermittently sit, walk, run, climb, squat, stretch, bend, and kneel
- Constantly use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required; must have held citizenship for a minimum of three years prior to application
- Obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment
- Obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within four to six weeks of employment
- Obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment
- Adequate, climate-controlled transportation to transport assigned canine and crate to/from work location
- Pass applicable Contract Testing and Certifications within four to eight weeks of employment; maintain certification requirements
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; license must comply with REAL ID standards or possess a valid U.S. passport in addition to a valid driver’s license
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities
- Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
