Junior High Assistant Girls Basketball Coach

Beginning Winter 2026-2027 season.

About the Role

Successful candidates should believe in the importance of the impact of extra-curricular activities in a child's K-12 experience and overall social, emotional, and academic development.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of PIAA rules and policies governing the sport
• Ability to work within the Blueprint/Action Plan of the Muhlenberg School District
• Clearly communicate to student athletes, parents, school officials, and sport officials
• Work collaboratively/cooperatively with the Junior High School Head Coach to ensure their philosophy is being carried out at the Junior High level
• Supervise and direct student-athletes
• Participate in all training as required by PIAA

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of and experience in the sport
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to give clear direction
• Must be interested in supporting and working with all student-athletes
• Current clearances: Acts 34, 114, 151, and 168 (must be within one year of hire)
• Three professional references

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience in scholastic basketball
• Bilingual candidates
