Junior GRC Audit Assistant (Remote Position) - Redwood Shores, CA

Responsibilities

• Cook up audit support activities by organizing evidence, tracking requests, and helping teams prepare materials for review.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and maintain records needed for compliance programs and audit examinations.
• Aid in third-party risk review efforts by gathering vendor documentation, following up on outstanding items, and maintaining accurate files.
• Inspect vendor-submitted reports, questionnaires, and related materials to spot concerns or gaps that need escalation.
• Watch over remediation tasks, audit observations, and compliance action items to make sure they get done on time.
• Support security assessment activities, including documentation review related to penetration testing and other control evaluations.
• Keep information within governance, risk, and compliance tools so records stay current, complete, and accessible.
• Contribute to the refining of compliance workflows, reporting methods, and documentation practices to boost operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, audit, compliance, risk management, information security, or a related function.
• Working knowledge of audit processes, compliance documentation, and evidence management practices.
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance concepts, including third-party risk and control review activities.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, keep detailed records, and stay organized in a structured environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external vendors.
• Experience reviewing audit reports, vendor materials, or compliance records with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project tracking, documentation tools, or GRC platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field is preferred.
