JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative places to eat, cook, learn and explore. We are a small family-run company with two restaurants, a café, a catering business, and a marketplace, all centered around an 80-acre working farm located 30 miles from midtown Manhattan.
About The Role
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is seeking a skilled and passionate Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. Together with our nonprofit partner, the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture, we form a research and education institute working to develop a regional and ecological future of food. The Junior Graphic Designer will work directly with the Creative Director and Director of Operations on a range of innovative projects, helping drive the entire creative process.
You will have the opportunity to participate in weekly education with guest speakers, classes, and training, and be eligible for a stipend for external education and dining opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Produce attractive and effective designs for all media, including printed materials, social media, signage, presentations, packaging, and newsletters.
- Create content, including photos and video.
- Offer input in creative meetings and share new ideas.
- Work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicate with senior team members to receive feedback.
- Support the Creative Director and larger team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
- Other related assignments as necessary.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, design software, and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Motivation to maintain and improve design standards.
- Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to use it to improve.
- Some creative industry experience is a plus.
- Portfolio or samples of relevant work required for consideration.

Pay
Full-time / Non-exempt, $25 - $30 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time position in-person at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY (~1 hour drive from NYC). On-site Wednesday through Sunday, which may include some evenings and weekends, totaling 40 hours per week.
