  • Build and maintain relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, contracting professionals, eligible buyers, and other strategic partners.
  • Manage day-to-day activity for awarded contract vehicles, task orders, and vendor pools, including tracking registrations, renewals, modifications, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor client portals, forecasts, and procurement activity for upcoming task orders; gather information to support bid and go/no-go decisions; and assist with capture and pricing activities.
  • Help activate awarded vehicles through consistent outreach and follow-up with eligible buyers, government stakeholders, and partners while coordinating efforts with internal teams.
  • Research relevant conferences, government meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities and coordinate participation as needed.
  • Research potential federal subcontracting, teaming, and partnership opportunities and bring recommendations forward to support pursuit decisions.
  • Track pipeline, win rates, task order activity, contract vehicle utilization, partnership activity, deadlines, and compliance and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to keep qualified opportunities organized and moving through the capture and proposal process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Government, Contract Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in federal government contracting, government business development, capture, teaming, subcontracting, task order management, contract vehicle management, or a related field.

  • Ability to research potential partners and business opportunities and communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple relationships, opportunities, contract vehicles, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • A proactive approach to relationship management and business development.
  • Ability to work effectively across business development, proposal, leadership, and agency teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically for government meetings, conferences, industry events, and relationship development.

Location

While we service clients nationally and internationally, Leap Group has a footprint in the Midwest, with offices in:

  • Louisville, KY
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Chicago, IL

Our roles are typically open to remote candidates located and authorized to work in the U.S. However, strong preference is given to candidates in or near our physical footprint. This is because we’ve found the ability to seamlessly collaborate in-person is very valuable to the nature of our work. Regardless of location, onsite time and periodic travel for things like client meetings, collaboration sessions, production work, pitches, and team gatherings is important and expected. Our hybrid work model is core to how we deliver impact.
