Responsibilities
- Implement gameplay features, mechanics, and systems under guidance from senior developers
- Assist in developing and maintaining core game logic, tools, and player-facing functionality
- Collaborate with designers and artists to translate creative ideas into working game features
- Debug and resolve gameplay, performance, and stability issues
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
- Contribute to sprint planning, task estimation, and agile development workflows
- Write clear documentation for implemented features and systems
- Continuously learn and apply best practices in game development, performance optimization, and player experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in game development, internships, academic projects, or personal/game jam projects
- Experience programming in C++, C#, or similar languages, ideally within a game engine environment (Unity, Unreal, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of game loops, gameplay mechanics, and real-time systems
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions, and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Passion for games and a strong desire to grow as a game developer
