About the role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Frontend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of modern web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing features for web applications using React, Angular, or Vue, and support mobile application development initiatives as needed.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established architecture, component design, and state management patterns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, implement enhancements, and address feedback from QA and stakeholders.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar solutions to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation activities.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to continuously improve code quality and development skills.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver features throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical documentation, reusable components, and team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and estimation sessions.
- Continuously learn emerging frontend technologies, AI development practices, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend technologies.
- Working knowledge of at least one modern frontend framework: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms as part of daily development activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to mobile application development using React Native, Flutter, iOS, or Android technologies.
- Academic, personal, or professional experience with AI/LLM integrations, chat applications, or generative AI solutions.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Portfolio, GitHub repository, or personal projects demonstrating software development capabilities.
- Understanding of modern frontend development practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $43,984 - $105,600 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA.
