About the role

This position supports the U.S. Army’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives. The role requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. A hybrid work schedule is required, with onsite work at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Support Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) or Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT) work streams
• Support financial reporting, audit response, and remediation activities
• Perform reconciliations, data validation, and financial analysis
• Analyze financial datasets to improve accuracy and audit readiness
• Coordinate with government stakeholders to meet audit requirements
• Assist in preparing audit artifacts and supporting documentation
• Contribute to process improvements across financial operations

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 1+ year of accounting or finance experience (federal or commercial; internships accepted)
• Experience with general ledgers, financial statements, reconciliations, or audit support
• Understanding of financial systems and data validation processes
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, Power Platform, or similar technologies
