About the role

This position supports the U.S. Army’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives. The role requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Hybrid work schedule onsite at Shaw Air Force Base, SC.

Responsibilities

• Support the Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT) work stream
• Support financial reporting, audit response, and remediation activities
• Perform reconciliations, data validation, and financial analysis
• Analyze financial datasets to improve accuracy and audit readiness
• Coordinate with government stakeholders to meet audit requirements
• Assist in preparing audit artifacts and supporting documentation
• Contribute to process improvements across financial operations

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 1+ year of accounting or finance experience (federal or commercial; internships accepted)
• Experience with general ledgers, financial statements, reconciliations, or audit support
• Understanding of financial systems and data validation processes
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, Power Platform, or similar technologies
