Junior Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Re-image and install operating systems on damaged computers on-site.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software issues for workstations, labs, and peripheral devices.
• Maintain and support antivirus software, wired and wireless network installations, and proprietary applications.
• Ensure adherence to current procedures, policies, and processes within the work unit.
• Maintain timely and accurate updates in the ticketing system, reflecting work performed.
• Install / setup computer systems and local area networking components.
• Utilize state-of-the-art testing instruments for diagnosing hardware, network, and software issues.
• Identify and escalate vendor-related issues to the appropriate team when necessary.
• Perform reconnects on workstations, labs, printers and associated peripheral devices.

Qualifications

• A+ Certification.
• At least one of the following:
• A 2-year degree in electronics or computer technology.
• A high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of PC repair experience in a customer field environment.

Location

Support is needed in Skokie, Glenview, Evanston (North side of Chicago).
