Junior Family Law Paralegal

About the role

The Junior Family Law Paralegal performs substantive, billable legal work under the direction and supervision of a Senior Family Law Paralegal and/or Managing Attorney. This position supports the development and progression of family law matters from intake through discovery, settlement, hearings, and trial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research
• Assist with drafting pleadings and motions
• Coordinate discovery
• Organize evidence
• Prepare hearing and trial materials
• Maintain accurate case files
• Take a case strategy provided by an attorney or Senior Paralegal, identify the tasks necessary to move the case forward, conduct appropriate research, complete assigned work accurately, and escalate questions when attorney guidance is required

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where deadlines matter. You should enjoy figuring things out.
