About the role

This position will join a dynamic team of epileptologists, neurophysiologists, and a dedicated PA at a leading academic institution in Southern California. The candidate will be part of an innovative program that includes participation in the Epilepsy Care Consortium, a network of 10 comprehensive epilepsy centers.

Responsibilities

• Teach neurology residents and epilepsy fellows
• Support research interests, particularly in translational research through the Neurorestoration Center
• Participate in multidisciplinary programs such as Epilepsy – Women’s Epilepsy Care, Young Adult Transitions, Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy/Life Redesign, Diet and Nutritional Services
• Provide clinical care for epilepsy and surgical epilepsy patients, including both inpatient and outpatient services
• Contribute to the Level 4 Epilepsy Center at a 401-bed hospital
• Read remote ICU EEGs

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Board certification in Neurology and/or Epileptology
• Experience in epilepsy diagnosis and management
• Strong interest in translational research
• Excellent teaching skills
