Responsibilities
- Market & Trading Coverage
- Partner with senior sales-traders with execution support, order management, and market color
- Monitor market activity, news flow, and research updates to identify actionable insights for clients
- Prepare timely summaries of key market developments, earnings announcements, and sector trends
- Support program trades and execution workflow across internal trading systems
- Track relevant economic releases, corporate news, and technical market developments throughout the trading day
- Client Engagement
- Prepare content and talking points for client interactions
- Support development of institutional client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up
- Carefully coordinate meetings, calls, and marketing initiatives with clients
- Maintain CRM notes and ensure accurate tracking of client interactions and engagement
- Research & Idea Generation
- Screen internal and external research to identify high-conviction investment ideas
- Summarize analyst views and key themes relevant to institutional investors
- Assess and synthesize market intelligence gathered from research, trading flows, and client dialogue
- Contribute to internal morning notes and market commentary distributed to clients
- Team & Project Support
- Collaborate closely with equity research, trading, and sales teams
- Complete special projects, develop client presentations, and market analysis
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies
- Continuously develop knowledge of equity market structure, trading mechanics, and institutional client needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field preferred)
- Expected graduation date: Winter 2025 – Spring 2026
- Strong interest in financial markets and institutional investment
- Internship or prior work experience in financial services industry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- SIE Exam, Series 7, and Series 63 must be obtained within 150 days of employment
- Able to work full U.S. equity market hours, beginning at 4:25 am PT, including pre-market preparation and end-of-day responsibilities
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
