Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research. Our prime services' offering is a unique combination of execution, clearing, custody and financing services.

Responsibilities

  • Trade and make markets on various equity derivatives on ETF and single stocks in all US markets for various client types, including hedge funds, retail, private banks, asset managers, etc.
  • Manage or assist in managing a portfolio of various types of derivatives, which requires a good amount of discretionary decision making.
  • Learn and understand the dynamics of the portfolio and the market, and hedge with tradeable instruments, including stocks, options, and products from various other asset classes.
  • Execute customer trades.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders inside the firm, including sales and structuring teams, to develop solutions.
  • Perform daily operational tasks such as marking parameters and managing pricing, booking and checking risk, understanding drivers of daily market movements, researching trade ideas, and building tools to optimize workflows.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must Have:
  • Strong interest in trading, markets, and especially single stocks.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Options trading experience is preferable but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with traders and stakeholders globally.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Technical skills, particularly in using Excel or statistical analysis tools to automate daily work and perform quantitative analysis to improve trading performance.
  • Detail-oriented approach to operational tasks and willingness to tackle operational headwinds with innovative solutions.

Compensation

The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
