Junior Electronics Engineer

My client is looking for a Junior Electronics Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This Junior Electronics Engineer role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in electronics hardware design. The Junior Electronics Engineer will work on the design, development, testing and validation of electronic systems from concept through to prototype. Responsibilities Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuitsSupport schematic capture, component selection and PCB design activitiesBuild, test and debug electronic hardware prototypesCarry out laboratory testing, fault finding and design verificationSupport product development throughout the full engineering lifecycleCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on new product development projectsProduce technical documentation and test reports Essential Requirements First-Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related disciplineStrong final-year project involving the design, build and testing of an electronic systemDemonstrable hands-on experience in electronics hardware developmentUnderstanding of analogue and digital circuit design principlesExperience with schematic capture and PCB designPractical hardware debugging and fault-finding experienceFamiliarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers and power suppliesStrong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in electronics hardware designAbility to take a concept through design, build, test and prototype stages Desirable Requirements Degree from a Russell Group universityIndustrial placement, internship or relevant industry experienceExperience using Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD or similar ECAD toolsExposure to FPGA, RF, power electronics or embedded systems developmentExperience with SPICE simulation toolsFamiliarity with design for manufacture and product development processesExperience producing technical reports and engineering documentationKnowledge of EMC considerations and electronic system validation Salary: Around £40,000 plus benefits.
