Junior Data Scientist

About the role

Lentech, Inc. is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our Mission Technical Solutions Division. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven solutions for civil, defense, and intelligence customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply statistical models to analyze large-scale datasets
• Use scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Develop and maintain optimization and simulation models

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics
• Experience with R or Python
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science

Nice if you have

• Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management
• Experience analyzing large-scale datasets
• Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing
• Experience developing and applying optimization and simulation models
• Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments

Benefits

High school diploma or GED required.

Skills

Must have strong analytical skills, proficiency in R or Python, and experience with data analysis tools. Experience with optimization, modeling, and simulation is preferred.
