Junior Data Scientist

About the role

Meritos Trade A Product company with office in Kyiv, Ukraine. This is a full-time remote position with 1-3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement the automation and optimization of volatility trading, including client trade pricing and hedging
• Improve and support existing algorithms
• Contribute from idea generation to production implementation, perform research, design prototype, implement analytics and trading algorithms
• Analyze large sets of market data to test hypotheses and obtain useful information
• Create, develop, test and maintain trading strategies, improve existing ones, including using Machine learning algorithms
• Prepare back tests
• Approve successful ideas with the team and transfer to the developer for implementation

Requirements

• Experience in Financial, Big Data from 1 year
• Experience in Data Science from 1 year
• Python programming experience required (Data analysis libraries — NumPy, Pandas)
• Higher education — mathematics, statistics, programming, economics
• Autonomy, orientation and responsibility for the result, system, organization, attentiveness, initiative and openness
• Ability to devise and implement trading algorithms
• Extensive knowledge of e-trading infrastructure and data specs, being able to deliver end to end solutions to the business

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of Machine learning in financial
• Familiarity with any API: Binance API, BitMex API, Interactive Brokers API, Alpha Vantage API
• SQL / NoSQL Databases
• Experience in trading
• Level of English — Intermediate and above
