Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

NIX, an outsource company with an office in Kharkiv, Ukraine, is seeking a Junior Data Scientist. This is a full-time, remote position with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Classification of bugs in the bug tracking system
• Currency exchange rate prediction using time series prediction methods

Must-have Requirements

• Higher or incomplete higher education in IT or physics/mathematics
• Knowledge of statistics and probability theory fundamentals
• Knowledge of basic clustering and classification methods
• Knowledge and basic programming experience with Python
• Familiarity with data libraries: numpy, pandas
• Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch frameworks
• Experience with databases and SQL knowledge
• English at a reading and technical documentation comprehension level
• Languages: Python, JavaScript
• Libraries/Frameworks: Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch, sklearn, numpy, pandas, spaCy, PySpark, Vue.js and others
• Distributed Computing: Spark
• Cloud Platform: AWS (AWS ML)
• CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB and others

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience with relational DBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or others)
• Experience with NoSQL DBMS (DynamoDB, Cassandra, or others)
• Familiarity with Spark
• Familiarity with Docker
• Conversational English
