Junior Cyber Security Specialist

A national security company is seeking a Junior Cyber Penetration Tester to join their Federal Strategic Cyber Group. The Role Support the Penetration Testing (Red Cell) Team Assess the current state of customer system security, identifying vulnerabilities and security measures Assist in analysis and mitigation of security vulnerabilities Perform and report on penetration testing of systems, including cloud, to satisfy NIST 800-53 CA-8 Stay abreast of current attack vectors and unique methods for exploitation of computer networks Develop or modify tools that automate discovery or exploitation (e.g. bash, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) What You'll Need Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree Basic understanding of networking and security principles Experience with evaluating system security configurations Understanding of common Web Application vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS, CSRF, HTTP Flooding) Experience with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap Active Secret security clearance OR the ability to obtain one What's On Offer Competitive salary range of $66,000 - $106,000 per year Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Opportunity to work on critical national security missions Professional growth in a dynamic and supportive environment Apply via Haystack today!
