Junior Creative Copywriter
Unique Vacations, Inc. — an affiliate of the worldwide representative for Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts — is seeking a forward-thinking Junior Creative Copywriter to join its Miami-based, in-house team. We provide exclusive marketing, public relations, advertising, promotions, and creative services to showcase the Luxury Included® experience that guests have adored for over 40 years.
About the role
The Junior Creative Copywriter supports the Creative Services Department by assisting in day-to-day functions and in-house copywriting. The candidate is expected to be highly proficient in their functional area, manage a challenging multi-tasked workload, anticipate the needs of supervisors, assist others as needed, and contribute ideas and acquired skills to benefit the entire department.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread clear, concise, and engaging copy for print and digital platforms across all brands, products, and services, with openness to multiple rounds of revisions.
- Collaborate with the Copywriting Team, Studio Manager, and Creative Directors to align creative concepts and ensure adherence to the brand’s strategic tone and messaging.
- Partner with account services and internal stakeholders to gather project details and align on style, tone, and length of copy; adjust and revise as needed to meet project objectives.
- Develop a variety of copy assets, including advertorials, promotional materials, online content, and direct mail, while meeting program goals and deadlines.
- Proofread and assist with edits for trade and consumer print ads, brochures, magazines, and other collateral materials.
- Maintain a running copy bank of on-brand tone and voice examples and apply the new verbal identity consistently across all content.
- Contribute to project coordination and team collaboration by supporting administrative or creative tasks as needed.
- Stay organized and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Research advertising and marketing trends, compile competitive insights, and stay informed on current brand developments and promotional efforts.
- Attend team meetings, operational reviews, and (if requested) property visits to deepen your understanding of resort brands and campaigns.
- Travel internationally as well as domestically for extended periods.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Mac applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well with little to no supervision.
- Must maintain proper and up-to-date documentation.
- Bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Two (2) years of marketing and/or advertising experience preferred.
