About the Role
The Corporate Financial Analyst coordinates and supports the Business Unit's financial planning processes, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans. This role consolidates financial information from manufacturing plants, validates submissions, performs variance analysis, and ensures adherence to corporate planning guidelines and reporting deadlines. The position serves as a key business partner to plant finance teams by challenging assumptions, investigating deviations, and ensuring the integrity of the Business Unit's Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure financial management reporting and processes are in place.
- Create a monthly Management Reporting Package with variance analysis.
- Report performance to budget and forecast, assisting in actions to alter business performance.
- Support the annual business plan development and budgeting process.
- Support the monthly and quarterly outlook process.
- Support financial modeling and analysis for long-term strategic initiatives and plans.
- Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- Control SG&A expenses.
- Consolidate and submit financial data into the Group Planning System.
- Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of controlling experience for an automotive supplier.
- Experience with customer tooling, SAP, and prototype processes related to controlling.
- Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and SAP accounting modules.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
