Junior Cloud Engineer
About the role
A world-leading semiconductor company at the forefront of designing, manufacturing, and selling analog and embedded processing chips for diverse markets is seeking a talented individual to join their team. The role involves designing, deploying, and operating secure cloud-based information systems for space, avionics, and defense electronics customers.
You will build and operate secure, compliant cloud environments supporting government, defense, and aerospace work. This includes designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive and classified information. You will implement and oversee robust cybersecurity controls and risk management practices for cloud infrastructure, ensuring continuous compliance with federal laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP High, DoD SRG IL4/IL5/IL6, ITAR, EAR, CUI).
Collaboration across IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams is essential to deliver secure, reliable solutions.
Requirements
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and/or other federal cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud security, network security, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Strong background in Linux OS administration.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, ITAR, EAR, CUI, NISPOM, DAAPM, FARS/DFARS).
Qualifications
