About the Role
The Junior Casino Host supports the Player Development team under the direction of the Player Development Manager and Executive Director of Casino Operations. This role focuses on delivering personalized guest service that aligns with the Company’s core values (Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity) and creating memorable experiences for casino guests.
Responsibilities
- Pre-assign rooms for VIP arrivals, check-in guests, and prepare key rooms.
- Log guest information into the computer upon arrival, including proper identification.
- Support VIP services by making room reservations, arranging amenities, and coordinating transportation as needed.
- Prepare reservations for next-day arrivals, handle room service orders, and pre-assign rooms.
- Assist with special VIP functions upon request.
- Cover the casino floor, build and develop a book of business, and support the growth of new and existing player accounts.
- Recruit new players through direct sales activities such as direct mail, telemarketing, referrals, guest visitation, and offsite functions.
- Assist Casino Hosts and the Player Development Manager with various guest requests via email, phone, or in person.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of personal computers, Front Desk procedures, and strong people/telephone skills.
- Experience in special events or marketing within a hospitality or casino environment.
- Proficiency in communication, computer skills (including typing and 10-key), and public relations.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- Constant walking up to distances of 500 feet during shift.
- Frequent stooping and reaching.
Work Environment
- Indoor, climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- Regular exposure to a smoke-filled environment.
- Work in close spaces with others.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile, mats, carpet, or cement surfaces.
Pay
USD $19.00 - USD $21.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.
