Junior Automotive Technician

About the role

Diagnose and repair customer vehicles effectively and efficiently while adhering to MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Plaza Tire Automotive standards.

Requirements

• Previous automotive technician experience required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Work environment temperature varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on ambient temperatures outside
• Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required
• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus

Pay

$20–$30 per hour in total compensation, which includes an hourly base plus additional earnings through a flag/flat-rate system.
